Inter Miami Cf Lionel Messi Still In Talks

Inter Miami CF, Lionel Messi Still in Talks

Despite Argentine's Previous Denial

Miami and Messi Could Link Up

Lionel Messi and Inter Miami CF are still in talks over a possible move to the MLS, despite the Argentine previously denying any contact with the club. Messi is out of contract with Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season and is yet to decide on his future.

A move to the MLS has been mooted for several years, with Messi keen to experience a new culture and league before he retires. Inter Miami, owned by David Beckham, is one of the clubs that have been heavily linked with a move for the 35-year-old.

In an interview with TyC Sports in October, Messi said that he had not spoken to Beckham about a move to Miami. However, according to The Athletic, talks between the two parties have continued in recent weeks.

Inter Miami are reportedly prepared to offer Messi a two-year contract worth around $60 million per year. The club is also said to be willing to build a new stadium if Messi signs.

A move to Miami would be a major coup for the MLS. Messi is one of the greatest players of all time and his arrival would undoubtedly raise the profile of the league.

However, there are still a number of obstacles that need to be overcome before a deal can be completed. Messi is reportedly reluctant to move to the MLS until after the 2026 World Cup. He is also said to be concerned about the level of competition in the league.

Despite these concerns, Inter Miami are confident that they can convince Messi to join the club. The club is said to be working on a number of plans to make the move more appealing to the Argentine.

If Messi does sign for Inter Miami, it would be a major statement of intent from the club. It would also be a sign that the MLS is now a major player in the global football market.
