Caitlin Clark Leads Fever to 85-83 Comeback Victory
Record-Breaking Rookie Continues to Shine
After a difficult start to their season, the Indiana Fever have finally snapped their winless streak with an 85-83 victory over the Washington Mystics on Friday night. Rookie sensation Caitlin Clark led the charge for the Fever, recording her second seven three-pointer game in WNBA history and tying her career high of 30 points.
The Mystics came out strong in the first quarter, taking an early lead. But the Fever fought back, and Clark caught fire in the second quarter. She hit three three-pointers in a row to give the Fever a halftime lead. The Mystics continued to battle in the second half, but the Fever held on to their advantage and secured the win. Clark's impressive performance also included eight rebounds and six assists.
With the win, the Fever improve to 2-9 on the season. The Mystics, meanwhile, remain winless at 0-11. The two teams will meet again on Friday, June 16th, in Indianapolis.
