According to Dalton Trigg, the Dallas Mavericks and Washington Wizards were close to completing a trade that would have sent Kyle Kuzma to Dallas. The Mavericks were reportedly offering Dorian Finney-Smith and a first-round pick in exchange for Kuzma.
However, the Wizards ultimately decided to keep Kuzma, who is averaging 21.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game this season. The Mavericks remain interested in acquiring Kuzma, but it is unclear if they will be able to reach a deal with the Wizards before the March 1 trade deadline.
