Total Solar Eclipse: April 8, 2024
On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. A total solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly between the Sun and Earth, blocking the Sun's light and creating a breathtaking celestial event.
This upcoming eclipse will be the first total solar eclipse visible in North America since 2017. The path of totality will begin in Mexico and cross the United States and Canada, ending in Newfoundland.
